A highly particular sweet, red wine, the product of an ancient tradition perpetuated in a limited area, where sun-drenched vineyards cultivated on calcareous land yield grapes that lend the wine an intense, brilliant, red-ruby colour, a rosy, dense, evanescent froth, an enticing bouquet of berries and raisins and a full-bodied taste. Pleasantly sweet and lively, it is particularly suited to dry fruit cakes, strawberries and seasoned or spicy cheese.
