Olive Groves amidst the vines

The “Ballabio Vineyards” represent the Company core, the biological instrument through which sun and land unite to produce grapes in the first place and wine in the second.
After careful evaluation and with the same love for the land, we planted the olive trees, including the cultivars of Leccino, Frantoio and Bianchera, convinced that the Costeggio hills are the ideal habitat for this kind of cultivation.
Activities providing care and attention as well as the harvest are exclusively manual, so as to guarantee olive integrity. At the oil mill, a modern pressing system transforms the olives into a particularly fine and fragrant extra virgin oil: the first extra virgin olive oil of the Oltrepò Pavese.
Moreover, this ambitious project is also a solid one: our olives are, in fact, pressed at the Clarabella Farmstead in Iseo, which helps people with mental problems to reinstate themselves in the world of work. |
